Samantha has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement from RMIT University and went on to study her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University where she graduated in 2015. She has previously worked as a gymnastics coach for six years, a sports trainer for local NSW and Victorian AFL clubs and the Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL club. Samantha has also worked as a sports trainer for the French Touch Football team at the 2015 World Touch Football Championships and at the 2015 NSW State Championships.
Samantha has spent many years training and competing at various levels for Athletics (sprinting) where she developed a passion for musculoskeletal injuries and biomechanics in particular to the lower limb. This led to her completing her dissertation in foot strike patterns at different running speeds in the general running population.
Her wide range of sporting background has given her a strong grounding with exercise prescription for rehabilitation. In addition to hands on treatment Samantha will encourage her patients to undertake specific exercise programs to assist with recovery for return to work or sport and for injury prevention.
