PRE NATAL
Hydrotherapy Classes
We do offer hydrotherapy classes and the recommended commencement is around 14 weeks. The cost is $27.50 per class which runs for around 1 hour. This class can be claimed from your health fund. We have HICAPS so you can claim on the day.
Times are as follows:
Tuesday & Thursday's at 6pm
Friday's at 12 noon
Saturday's at 10am
These are non booking classes so just arrive early to register.
We will need to know who your Doctor is prior to the class as we do require a clearance from them, however many have given us a stock referral for all their patients - so just contact us and we can let you know.
Pilates
We also offer clinical pilates which is not just for pregnancy but have had pregnant ladies participating.
This involves a 1 hour assessment prior (2 x 30minute sessions) which are $82 for the first session and $79 for the second and individual sessions cost $58.
Prep for Childbirth Classes
Prep for Childbirth class are suitable to start from 30weeks of pregnancy.
This is for you and your partner and is run at 7pm on the first Wednesday of each month for 2 and a half hours.
This covers comfort/position during childbirth to help push your baby out, pain relief using TENS and how you can regain your pre-birth shape, pelvic floor preparation etc.
These must be booked and cost is $80.00. These classes are rebatable from your private health fund. Bookings required, please call reception to make your booking.
POST NATAL
MOTHERS & BABY HYDROTHERAPY CLASS
This class is currently run every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday morning commencing at 11:15am
This is a non- booking class so no appointment is necessary, however, please arrive by 11am on your first attendance to get registered.
Baby must be aged between 8 weeks to 6 months and have had their first immunisation.
An appropriate swim nappy must be worn.
Cost of the class is currently $31.50 casual – that is if you wish to pay as you go. In this instance we can make a claim with your health fund. We also offer a pre-paid system whereby you prepurchase 4 classes in advance for a significant discount. This is currently 4 classes for $105. You will need to make the claim with your health fund yourself if you choose this method.
Classes run for approx 1.5 hours. The first 20-30 minutes the babies are in the pool doing exercise and movement to nursery rhymes. The babies are then fed and changed (so bring your pram) and remain pool side while all the mothers do an exercise class.
If you would like your child cared for by the volunteer staff, you will need to sign a permission form, alternatively you may bring a family member/friend to care for your child.
FATHER & BABY CLASSES
Designed to get Dad in the pool with Bub for babies ages 3 – 18 months. Class runs for about 45 minutes every Friday night at 6pm. No booking is necessary, cost is $24.00 no rebate is available for this class.
PARENT & BABY
Currently running on Saturday mornings at 11am. The same as Father and Baby, but either parent can go in the pool with bub. No booking required.
