Michael Kenihan

Michael is an APA Sports Physiotherapist and Fellow of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation. He is a foundation partner and principle manager of Australia's largest Sports Medicine group, Sports Medicine Centres of Victoria. Michael has been an executive for LifeCare and subsequently IPN. His role in this listed public company has been Deputy Chief Operations Officer.

In these roles, Michael has managed both allied health and medical practices/practitioners across Australia. This has included critical involvement in practice acquisitions and in providing resolutions to an array of strategic and day to day operational issues.

B.App Sc (Phty), Grad Dip Manip Physio. State Manager LifeCare WA has been working with LifeCare since 1990 after graduating from Curtin University (formerly WAIT) School of Physiotherapy, where he is an Adjunct Senior Teaching Fellow, and an advisor to the School advisory Board and Board of Study. Cameron is also Vice President of the Curtin School of Physiotherapy Alumni.

Since commencing with LifeCare Cameron has held a great many positions with LifeCare including National Operations Manager, Marketing Manager and State Allied Health Director, and has worked as a treating practitioner at 8 different LifeCare centres.

Dr Jon Ford (PhD, M Physio, B App Sc Physio, Cred MDT) commenced working at Prahran Sports Medicine Centre in 1988. In the early 90s he also began lecturing at The University of Melbourne and began the process of developing evidence-based clinical programs with a focus on clinical reasoning and a biopsychosocial approach.

Jon continues his academic work as the head of The University of Melbourne, Low Back Pain Research Team at The School of Physiotherapy. He is also a partner and clinician in the LifeCare/Spinal Management network where he has an ongoing role in clinical and commercial education, mentoring, performance management and business development.

Julie is an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist with a post graduate diploma in Exercise and Sports Science.

The majority of Julie’s clinical experience was at The North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre in Sydney where she was based from 1989 until 2005. Julie developed a keen interest in ACL rehabilitation and developed several knee rehabilitation protocols.

Julie’s specific sporting interests and team coverage have been with Gymnastics and Skiing. She was involved with NSW elite gymnastics squads and skiing for many years. She was a team physiotherapist for the Australian Winter Olympic Teams in 1992 and 1994.
