Darren is a clinical specialist in musculoskeletal disorders. He is involved in teaching musculoskeletal physiotherapy at undergraduate and postgraduate level at Curtin University. His current research activities include the investigation of the development of adolescent spinal pain as a member of a research team at Curtin University, utilising data from the Raine Study (www.rainstudy.org.au). Darren has already had numerous publications in high quality medical journals and also has an active role on the national Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia committee.

Darren is also a Member of the Board of Directors for the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).

Darren won an Award from the WA APA for Contribution to the Profession in 2011.
