Nicholas completed undergraduate and masters degrees in sport and exercise rehabilitation prior to attending Melbourne University’s physiotherapy school to consolidate his knowledge of acute injury management. During this time Nicholas continued his role in High Performance with Oakleigh Chargers in AFL Victoria’s TAC Cup competition, whereby he coordinated player rehabilitation programs, athlete screening for injury prevention and training loads to ensure optimal performance. During this time Nicholas experienced premiership success and saw eight players drafted into AFL clubs. Nicholas’ key interests surround lower limb related injuries and injury prevention. In 2016 Nicholas will continue to compete in professional athletics throughout Australia.
