Bio
Sam studied at the University of Melbourne, holding a Doctor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Science (majoring in Human Structure and Function). During his studies, he also completed a research internship at the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine. Sam has undertaken further training including the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, NRG Management of Post Concussion symptoms, GLA:D Hip and Knee certification, and APPI Clinical Pilates Matwork Level 1. His experience spans EFNL Premier Division football, Disability Sports, and being the Physiotherapist for the Victorian Country Cricket Team at the Australian Country Cricket Championships. Through this clinical background, Sam has developed a special interest in managing ankle injuries during sport, concussions, and osteoarthritis. Sam has played basketball, cricket and football competitively, and officiated basketball at the semi-professional level. He understands the effect sporting injuries can have on elite athletes and the weekend warrior alike. He is passionate about creating tailored treatment plans which combine hands-on therapy, clinical exercise and education. Sam takes pride in ensuring he understands your personal goals, with the aim to get you back to optimal levels of function and performance. Beyond his time at the clinic, Sam enjoys playing basketball at a local association, supporting his favourite sports teams, and discovering the best food spots around Melbourne with his family.
