Bio

Sam studied at the University of Melbourne, holding a Doctor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Science (majoring in Human Structure and Function). During this time, he also completed a research internship at the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine. Sam has undertaken further training including the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, NRG Management of Post Concussion symptoms, GLA:D Hip and Knee certification, and APPI Clinical Pilates Matwork Level 1.

Sam’s experience includes EFNL Premier Division football, Disability Sports, and serving as Physiotherapist for the Victorian Country Cricket Team at the Australian Country Cricket Championships. His clinical interests focus on ankle injury rehabilitation, concussion management, and osteoarthritis treatment.

Beyond practice, Sam contributes to physiotherapy education through his appointment to the Australian Physiotherapy Council’s Accreditation Committee, supporting national standards for tertiary physiotherapy programs.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Sam has played basketball, cricket, and football competitively and officiated basketball at a semi-professional level. He understands the impact of sports injuries on both elite athletes and weekend warriors alike. Sam is passionate about individualised treatment plans combining hands-on therapy, exercise, and education to help patients return to peak performance.

Outside the clinic, Sam enjoys playing basketball locally, supporting his favourite Sports teams, and exploring Melbourne’s best food spots with his family and friends.
