Bio

Sam studied at the University of Melbourne, holding a Doctor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Science (majoring in Human Structure and Function). During this time, he also completed a research internship at the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine. Sam has undertaken further training including the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine, APA Dry Needling Level 1, NRG Management of Post Concussion symptoms, GLA:D Hip and Knee certification, and APPI Clinical Pilates Matwork Level 1.

Sam understands the impact of sports injuries on both elite athletes and weekend warriors alike. He has experience working with state and national-level athletes through roles as Team Physiotherapist for the Victoria Metro Men at Basketball Australia National Championships and the Victorian Country Cricket Team at Cricket Australia Country Cricket Championships. His clinical interests focus on ankle injury rehabilitation, concussion management, and osteoarthritis treatment. Sam is passionate about individualised treatment combining hands-on therapy, exercise, and education to help patients return to peak performance.

Beyond clinical practice, Sam contributes to physiotherapy education through his appointment to the Australian Physiotherapy Council’s Accreditation Committee, which is the regulatory body overseeing national standards for tertiary physiotherapy programs.

Outside the clinic, Sam enjoys playing basketball, supporting his favourite Sports teams, and exploring Melbourne’s best food spots with his wife.
