Reed is a physiotherapist who has been part of the LifeCare family since 2017. Reed has previous experience in the surgical rehabilitation sector but has enjoyed supporting the sporting population and wider community of the Frankston area over the last few years.
Reed became interested in physiotherapy from a young age after spending a significant amount of time being treated by the Lifecare Frankston team for his various childhood sporting injuries from years of playing tennis, football and athletics.
Reed has worked extensively over the years providing injury prevention and management to the local football community, further developing his passion and skillset in the management of the sporting population. Reed continues to service the Frankston Dolphins and Frankston Tigersharks football clubs.
Reed aims to create a comfortable and relaxed environment, working collaboratively with each patient to create the best management strategy and to strive for the greatest outcomes.
Reed’s has a passion for the prevention and management of acute sporting injuries particularly soft tissue injuries and those of the knee and ankle. Reed has recently grown his interest in concussion management through working with local sporting clubs.
His previous work means that Reed is experienced in managing post-surgical patients, particularly those post total knee replacement, total hip replacement and ACL repairs.
Away from work, Reed is keen follower of sport. He aims to attend as many Geelong Cats games as he can, and practically lives at Melbourne Park in the final two weeks of January each year for the Australian Open. If he’s not too busy watching sport, he tries to stay fit and active through hiking, running and playing tennis.
Outside the sporting realm, he is a self-confessed trivia nerd and enjoys walking his Staghound, Tilley.
