Chris Horstman

Physiotherapist


Chris obtained his Doctor of Physiotherapy Degree from The University of Melbourne in 2013 after previously completing a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science from Deakin University.

Chris began working in private practice and inpatient Orthopaedics in Melbourne immediately after graduating. He started at Lifecare Oak Park after recently returning from London where he worked in private practice and in a large multidisciplinary clinic, working with some of London’s leading Sports Medicine Physicians and Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Chris has extensive experience in post-operative management from both trauma and elective surgery. Additionally, he has experience in elite sport through his current role as Physiotherapist with the Collingwood Football Clubs VFL program.

Chris has a special interest in low back pain and spinal complaints, headache management, running related injuries including tendon pain and pre/post-surgical management. Chris has a strong interest in utilising exercise therapy as a tool for recovery and prevention of injury.

Chris’ further Qualifications include DMA’s Clinical Pilates level 1& 2, Dry Needling, additional lower limb tendinopathy training and has begun his level 1 Strength and Conditioning certification with the Australian College of Strength and conditioning
