Bio

Duncan graduated from physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne in 2000. Since then he has worked in various private practice positions in Melbourne and Brisbane.

He has gained experience in and enjoys treating cervical pain (neck pain), lumbar pain (lower back pain) and has a special interest in lower limb sports injuries.

In addition, Duncan completed his Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University, which gives him the skills to treat and manage his clients quickly and effectively. He uses manual therapy techniques such as mobilisation, manipulation and soft tissue techniques to improve mobility or provide short term relief in early stages of injury. Duncan also uses the McKenzie method of assessment and treatment to treat spinal pain such as those affected by disc injuries. Neurodynamic Treatment (or nerve movement) may also be effective for some nerve pain or leg and arm symptoms.

Duncan is qualified to practise Dry Needling, allowing him to provide pain relief to very sensitive tissues.

Duncan became an occupational physiotherapist with WorkSafe and TAC to improve return to work and functional outcomes for injured workers who have struggled to return to work, social activities or exercise in the first 3 months following injury.

Duncan also practises at LifeCare Essendon and prior to this practised at Rose St Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy, Essendon.
