Leighton Marshall

Physiotherapist

Leighton Marshall is an APA Physiotherapist who completed his Master of Physiotherapy Studies at the Latrobe University, Melbourne. Leighton completed his Bachelor’s degree in “Athletic & Exercise Therapy” in his hometown, Victoria, BC, Canada.

After graduating, Leighton became certified as a Strength & Conditioning specialist and went on to work in private practice. Here, he treated many populations from youth clubs, police, fire and trades to elite athletes, both on and off the field or jobsite. He also studied concussion management and bracing, with a special focus on treating the shoulder.

Leighton has played almost every sport available including regular snowboarding, which he has adapted to surfing here on the Sunshine Coast. Although very active, this has led to a long list of injuries and missed sport or work, which is how he developed a passion and appreciation for physiotherapy.

Leighton believes that pain free movement is crucial for success and happiness. He has a strong desire to ensure clients walk away pain free along with an understanding of the cause of the problem, and how to prevent it from happening again.

Special interests include sports injuries, return to work management, concussion management, strength and conditioning, bracing, taping and post operative rehabilitation.
