Hand and Upper Limb Physiotherapist
Kate is a highly motivated upper limb Physiotherapist and Accredited Hand Therapist who graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998. Since specialising in hands/ upper limb Kate became a Full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association in 2008 and is currently a fully Accredited Hand Therapist (as awarded by the AHTA). Kate has worked for more than 15 years in Private hand therapy practice in Melbourne.
Kate regularly attends state SIG meetings as well as National Hand Therapy conferences. In 2019 she was involved with the presentation and assessment for and course development of the AHTA wrist course. Kate also works at St Vincent’s Public Hospital Melbourne in the Hand Therapy unit where she treats a predominantly acute trauma and post operative case load. Professional development interests have included the wrist, trauma, dynamic splinting, pain management, and return to work planning / coordination post injury!
In her spare time Kate enjoys walking her rather naughty labradoodle and exploring her recent passion for mixed media Art.
