Scott Conway is a strength and conditioning coach with 10 years’ experience working both in Australia and overseas. He holds a Masters’ degree in High-Performance Sport, Athletics Australia Level 1 coach and a Level 2 Australian Strength & Conditioning Association coaching qualification.
Scott’s career began working at the Victorian Institute of Sport working with various sports such as rowing, field hockey and diving. Gaining valuable experience and knowledge in evidence-based practice, athlete profiling and sport specific programming his time at the VIS has given him a wide skill set with a deep knowledge base. Following this, he took up the challenge working overseas as a Lead S&C Coach, first with the Malaysian National Field Hockey Teams, and then with Hockey India (ranked #5 worldwide). Here, he further sharpened his skills such as field based conditioning, sprint training, strength, power, rehabilitation as well as nutrition. Currently, Scott is the Head of Athletics at Melbourne Girls Grammar School (Prep – Year 12) and works within the high-performance gymnastics setting at Melbourne Gymnastics Centre.
As a physical preparation coach with a wide skill set and knowledge base, Scott’s strengths lie in:
