Congratulations to one of our East Fremantle Colts players, Kindrael Hooker who made his debut following a second ACL reconstruction.
Our Senior Physiotherapist Holly Boyd has managed Kindrael through his entire rehabilitation.
This includes his pre-operative rehabilitation, acute post-operative rehabilitation, strengthening and return to running phases and his final return to sport and competition phase.
Kindrael is a very talented small forward who came straight into the East Fremantle Colts squad after completing his return to sport assessment with Holly.
Rehabilitation after ACL surgery is a long road that requires strong commitment and persistence by the patient, along with ongoing support and guidance from the physiotherapist.
To be rewarded with a Colts debut after completing this rehabilitation is an excellent achievement.
When the East Fremantle Colts players make their debut, they are presented with their guernsey.
Kindrael, very kindly and unexpectedly asked Holly to be the one to present him with his jumper.
It’s hard to think of a greater compliment for a physiotherapist working in sport than this kind of gesture.
We are so proud of both Holly, Kindrael and the rest of the East Fremantle Colts medical team, in their joint effort to get him back out on the field.
Fins up!
