Amy graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Physiotherapy) degree. Since then, she has developed her skills across private practices and hospitals for the past 8 years, treating patients from acute sports injuries to musculoskeletal conditions and post-surgical rehabilitation.
Amy’s enthusiasm for health and fitness has driven her to complete the Pilates certification series with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), becoming a fully certified Pilates instructor in 2016. This approach has allowed Amy to develop a strong foundation in biomechanical assessment and postural analysis, leading her to prescribe optimal rehab programs for her patients. She aims to empower each of her patients through education and movement.
Amy’s key physiotherapy interest lies in the treatment of shoulder injuries. She has done extensive training in this area: completing shoulder physio courses in Melbourne and Sydney, as well as learning from surgeons and sports physicians in their management of shoulder injuries. Amy understands the complexities involved in different shoulders conditions and aims to provide quality, individualised assessment and treatment for each patient.
When not at work, you can usually find Amy in the great outdoors – running, swimming, mountain climbing, planning her next adventure, and preparing to achieve her latest goal: hiking to Mount Everest base camp (wish her luck!)
