Sheree Connolly

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Graduating with a Masters Degree from the University of Wollongong in 2011, Sheree has almost 15 years experience working as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in private practice.

Sheree developed an interest in exercise for chronic disease management early in her career, including treating conditions such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Osteoarthritis and Mental Health to name a few.

Following the birth of her children, Sheree took a special interest in women’s health, including pelvic floor dysfunction, as well as peri and post-menopause related health. Sheree is very passionate about educating women and providing them with guidance and confidence to be able to exercise and manage their health so they are able to remain strong and healthy into the future.

Sheree has completed APPI pilates training courses and completed additional professional development courses in pelvic floor health and exercise for menopause. She runs private Exercise Physiology classes that utilise the knowledge gained in these courses to provide Stretch and Core classes, as well as a 6-week Pelvic Floor program. During the 6-week program Sheree covers topics including pelvic floor anatomy, types of pelvic floor dysfunction, the role of the diaphragm, posture and thoracic mobility, as well as cues and exercises for improving neural connection and strength in the pelvic floor.

Outside of work Sheree is busy enjoying being a mum to two primary school aged girls and cheering them on with their various activities. Sheree previously played cricket and hockey, but in the last 10 years has taken to the soccer field playing in the local women’s competition.
