Profile: Anna commenced work at LifeCare Malvern Sports Medicine in 2011. She graduated from La Trobe University in 2004 and has since worked in a number of private practices in Melbourne. She has a keen interest in sports injuries and became a titled Sports Physiotherapist in 2012 upon completing a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at Latrobe University.
Profile: Andrew is a Sports and Manipulative physiotherapist who is currently employed as the head physiotherapist at St. Kilda Football Club. He has worked as part of the team at Lifecare Malvern Sports Medicine Centre since 2007. Over the last 15 years, Andrew has worked in both a clinical setting and in an elite sporting environment with Melbourne Victory, Adelaide Thunderbirds, SACA Redbacks, V8 Supercars, triathlon and athletics.
Profile: Alesha is a titled Sports Physiotherapist who joined the Malvern LifeCare team in 2012. In addition to her commitments with LifeCare, Alesha works with Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a physiotherapist for the Matildas and the junior representative national teams.
Profile: Aidan is an APA Sports Physiotherapist with a 10 years' experience working with sports medicine conditions. His interests lie in sports medicine, particularly those involving groin, hip and tendon pathologies. Aidan has experience across a variety of sports, particularly athletics, basketball and Australian Rules football.
Profile: Andrew is the Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Leader at LifeCare Croydon. He has been a member of the team since it's inception in 1987. His clinical experience includes working with professional sports including AFL, SEABL, NBL, A-League, rowing and sailing.
Profile: Amy graduated from La Trobe University in 2007. Since then she has obtained a broad range of experience in spinal physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Amy has undergone further training in the management of hip, groin and pelvic injuries and conditions.
Profile: Ashleigh is a very active person and completed her studies in Myotherapy with a desire to be involved with elite athletes, as well as educate and help the general population with injuries and health, and avoid a desk job!
Profile: Very actively involved in sports from a young age, Andrew quickly developed a love for playing sports, however being injury prone led him to spend a lot of time in physiotherapy clinics along the way. During these visits Andrew became fascinated with how the human body worked and repaired itself which started him on the path towards becoming a physiotherapist.
Profile: Alana has been a part of the team at Lifecare Frankston for 4 years, beginning her career in private practice as a new graduate. She has enjoyed working with us and developing her skills in a wide variety of injuries including sporting injuries, compensable injuries, paediatrics, Pilates and women’s health.

Profile: Adrianna has a special interest in sporting injuries in particular basketball and netball. She enjoys using Pilates for rehabilitation of sporting injuries as well as for correcting biomechanical problems, and helping to improve mobility and strength in all age groups. She completed pre and post season screening for the Western Jets TAC Cup Squad and provided both prehabilitative and rehabilitative exercise programs for these players.
Profile: Brendan has completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology degree at Deakin University. Brendan has gained experience across multiple sectors of public and community health, including stints in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Brendan also has experience with high performance testing across a number of sports including; football, tennis, cricket and basketball.
Profile: Beth has specialised in the area of Women’s Health after completing post graduate training in pelvic floor rehabilitation. She has experience in treating DRAM (tummy muscle separation), pelvic and lower back pain, pelvic floor weakness and pelvic organ prolapse. Beth's particular interest lies in the pre and postnatal period, where she strives to guide women in achieving their health, wellness & fitness goals. She regularly runs classes in our Clinical Pilates studio, offering pre and post natal class times.
Profile: Brenton joined the team at LifeCare Frankston as a physiotherapist at the beginning of 2013 after working in the public sector for 3 years. Brenton has enjoyed the change in roles, particularly working closely with patients to achieve their best possible function to reach peak performance in both the sporting and general population. Brenton has also enjoyed working closely with the team to help manage chronic pain and associated conditions and assisting with returning to work following injury. Brenton is also involved with running a chronic pain management program at Frankston Private Hospital which he does with precision.
Profile: Charli graduated from the Queensland University of Technology in 2007 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry. Since then, she has worked the first eight years of her podiatry career in the private sector in Brisbane, gaining experience across all facets of podiatry. Charli joined the team at LifeCare Frankston in 2015. She is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Profile: Daniel has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy and Masters in Sports Physiotherapy. His past experiences include many football, swimming and rugby teams, including the Melbourne Storm Rugby Team Under 20’s; tutoring anatomy at Melbourne University, Member Clinical Panel, TAC, published in peer reviewed journals (2006 and 2007), guest reviewer for the Australian Family Physician Journal 2007, and a Level 1 - 4 Pilates practitioner. Daniel specialises in core stabilisation, swimmers' injuries and shoulder injuries.
Profile: Daryl has been part of the Sports Medicine team at Croydon LifeCare since 1987. As a Remedial Sports Massage Therapist he enjoys treating people of all ages, whether assisting athletes in preparation or recovery from sporting challenges or being part of injury management. Daryl’s emphasis is soft tissue injury with a special interest in fascial dysfunction and correction. Daryl has been lecturing in the field of Sports Massage since 1991.
Profile: Francis graduated from Griffith University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science. He quickly developed an interest in a variety of physiotherapy disciplines including dry needling, geriatric care and Pilates; however his real passion is in sports physiotherapy. His passion for sports physiotherapy is undoubtedly from representing the Queensland Academy of Sports (QAS) in soccer for 3 years. He later went to France to play for division one side Lorient (U18) for a season before returning home to play for the Queensland senior team.
Profile: Dr George has had twenty years' experience working exclusively in the treatment of sports, exercise and musculoskeletal injuries. He has a background in general practice and during his sports medicine training has spent time with the College of Sports physicians, has treated elite athletes at AFL clubs Geelong and Melbourne and gained knowledge in orthopaedics through assisting upper and lower limb orthopaedic surgeons.
Profile: elmut Doerner qualifications are Certificate of Applied Science in Remedial Massage, and an Associate Diploma of Applied Science in Myotherapy. Helmut has worked in the industry since 1989, with experience with the Victorian Institute of Sport Women's Hockey Team.
Profile: Kara graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice. Kara has a keen interest in sports physiotherapy having worked with University Blues Football Club in the Premier VAFA league for over five years. Due to her personal running background, she also enjoys working closely with runners ensuring they stay injury free and doing what they love - running! Kara has also assisted in research work within LaTrobe Universty 's Sports and Exercise Medicine Research Centre.
Kara is a qualified DMA Pilates Instructor and has also completed further training in Dry Needling and Sports Physiotherapy. She is also actively involved in the Australian Physiotherapy Assosciation having been a member of the Victorian Committee 2016/2017.
Kara is a keen athlete enjoying running, netball, tennis, AFL and water sports. She has also been fortunate to have traveled overseas extensively, most notably coordinating physiotherapy volunteer programs in Nepal and Cambodia.
Profile: Kevin is an APA titled Sports Physiotherapist having completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from LaTrobe University in 2007 and his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University in 2015. Kevin has been with the team at Lifecare Malvern since 2010. Alongside his private work Kevin has worked as a physiotherapist for Athletics Australia since 2011 and in particular works with Junior Development. He has been a physiotherapist for the Australian Team at the World Youth and World Junior Championships.
Profile: Kelly is a McKenzie Credentialed Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor. Kelly has a particular interest in the treatment of neck and low back pain and places a strong emphasis on self-management exercises and posture correction in her treatment. Kelly also takes a number of exercise and Pilates classes to assist her clients in the prevention of injury recurrences.
Profile: Kat graduated from The University of Queensland in 2013 and has recently joined the Lifecare team after relocating from Brisbane. Kat has a keen interest in shoulder related pain and injuries, in addition to spinal, lower limb biomechanics and sports related problems. Kat is currently training under leading shoulder physiotherapists in Melbourne to gain further knowledge and experience in her area of interest with her goal to specialise.
Profile: Louise completed her undergraduate training at Lincoln Institute in 1984. She has since gained private practice experience in Melbourne and London, sharing ownership of a private physiotherapy practice in Sunshine for 7 years focusing on spinal and sports injuries.
Profile: Lewis’ passion for his profession lies in the area of sports Podiatry. He completed his Bachelor of Podiatry at Latrobe University in 2010 and he has undertaken additional training in sports massage, dry needling and injection therapy. Lewis is also a qualified personal trainer.

Lisa's extensive education and experience enables her to assist individuals to improve health, energy levels and performance through optimal nutrition and activity.
Profile: Laura graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2012 and has since found a special interest in sports and lower limb musculoskeletal injuries. She enjoys helping people return to their pre-injury function through the use of manual therapy techniques and developing patient-specific exercise programs. Laura also has a passion for the use of clinical Pilates for rehabilitation and to help people achieve their fitness goals.
Profile: Since graduating at the University of Melbourne in 2011, Luke has specialized in orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation, sports and spinal conditions. Luke has a strong and well-rounded interest in sports physiotherapy at the elite and amateur level. He was the head physiotherapist for Mazenod College and supplemented this with involvement in tennis, soccer and volleyball academies. He has also gained knowledge and expertise through work with the AFL International Cup and Draft Combine.
Profile: Liam is a physiotherapist who has recently joined the Lifecare Frankston team. From an early age Liam enjoyed sport, playing footy, athletics and cricket as a teenager. After watching the physiotherapist work for his favourite team Richmond at Punt Road one day, Liam became interested in the profession and has sought out a career ever since.
Profile: Mel has 9 years clinical experience in Physiotherapy. She has previously worked at LifeCare Croydon Sports Medicine and now specialises in exercise rehabilitation and fitness. She is currently studying her Postgraduate Masters in Yoga. Her experience extends to the Commonwealth Games, National League Netball and working with various football and soccer teams.
Profile: Megan Davis is a psychologist, specializing in sport, and also in injury and pain management. She has worked extensively with athletes and coaches from a wide range of sports, including swimming, diving, gymnastics, cricket, rugby and tennis.
Profile: Matt has been a full time physiotherapist at LifeCare Frankston since graduating from Monash University in 2009. A heavy involvement in sport growing up and playing in the TAC cup, AIS athletics and Armature Football Leagues, lead Matt to become interested in physiotherapy and injury management. Football, tennis, athletics, open water swimming, and more recently, endurance training have taken up most of Matt’s spare time.
Profile: Dr. Nick van Wetering is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician working at LifeCare Croydon. Dr. van Wetering has many years of experience in the management sporting and musculoskeletal disorders with a special interest in spinal injuries and in particular the management of pars defects in athletes

Profile: r Peter Fuller is a Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician with over 30 years' experience in the sports medicine setting. He has a special interest in lower limb overuse injuries (particularly ITB syndrome), and musculoskeletal dysfunction. He was previously an elite athlete, with achievements including a sub-4 minute mile. Dr Fuller is now providing Shockwave Therapy to patients where appropriate.
Profile: Peter is a registered Health Psychologist and has been working at LifeCare Frankston since 2013. He is professionally trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which he uses to achieve the best possible outcome for individuals and groups within his care.
Profile: Rachel joined the team at LifeCare Croydon in 2001 after completing her degree with honours in 2000. From 2004-2008 she worked both at LifeCare Croydon and DMA in Prahran, a dedicated Clinical Pilates practice.
Profile: Once completing her Myotherapy course in July 2007, Bec commenced working at Lifecare Frankston and Chelsea Clinics. During her time at Lifecare, Bec has treated an array of people from sporting injuries and management as well as the general population with workplace or daily life aches and pains.
Profile: Susan has over 16 years experience as a Physiotherapist and specialises in Pilates rehabilitation. Susan gained her bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, and has a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy from Latrobe University. Since joining LifeCare Sports Medicine in 2008 Scott has focused on Sports Podiatry and has directed his further education in this area. Profile: Before moving to Melbourne to pursue a career in Physiotherapy Sam completed his Bachelor of Human Biology in his hometown of Canberra. Prior to joining the LifeCare team Sam completed the Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne in 2015. Sam has completed further training in spinal physiotherapy, clinical pilates and running related injuries.

Profile: Stuart joined the Ashburton team in 2006, and obtained his ACSP Fellowship in 2008, receiving the annual College Medal in doing so. He now consults as a Specialist Sport & Exercise Medicine Physician at both the Ashburton and Prahran branches of LifeCare. Stuart is team doctor for Cricket Victoria, has toured with Cricket Australia, and has provided medical care for numerous other elite level sporting events and teams.
Profile: Tim is a foundation Physiotherapist at La Trobe and has vast experience in sports, work and general orthopaedic injury. He has links with many of the premier Orthopaedic specialists in Melbourne. He has 20 years’ experience managing acute musculoskeletal injuries/conditions, post-operative and fracture rehabilitation.
