Since graduating at the University of Melbourne in 2011, Luke has developed a special interest in orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation, sports and spinal conditions. Luke has a strong and well-rounded interest in sports physiotherapy at the elite and amateur level. He was the head physiotherapist for Mazenod College and supplemented this with involvement in tennis, soccer and volleyball academies. He has also gained knowledge and expertise through work with the AFL International Cup and Draft Combine.
Luke has gained international experience, where he worked in one of Europe’s largest fitness facilities, the Reebok Sports Club.
Luke is currently completing his Masters of Sports Medicine at the University of Melbourne.
He utilities soft tissue massage, myofascial release, dry needling, peripheral and spinal joint mobilization combined with specific exercise prescription to better the long-term for his patients. Most importantly, he believes that a foundation in evidence-based practice and patient education is the key to successful outcomes.
Luke was an elite junior tennis player and has continued his involvement in tennis as a coach. Admittedly, he finds it difficult to stop analyzing a sporting match through the critical eyes of a Physiotherapist!
Luke works at Croydon 5 days a week.
