Claire is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who joined the Lifecare team in 2019. Claire qualified as a physiotherapist in 2010 and comes to us with experience across a range of physiotherapy services including private practice, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as spending 7 years as a team physiotherapist for Hockey Victoria. Claire has worked with a range of sporting teams and athletes of different backgrounds over the course of her career and has a particular interest in neck and lower back injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation follow hip, knee and spinal surgeries. She completed post-graduate studies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy to expand her clinical expertise and also enjoys using her knowledge to assist newer clinicians to improve their practice, as well as supervising physiotherapy students completing clinical placements. Claire utilises a variety of treatment modalities incorporating manual techniques and exercise-based rehabilitation to get the best outcomes for her clients.
Outside of work Claire enjoys keeping active through distance running, water sports, snow skiing, or anything else that gets her outdoors. She has completed over 10 half marathons to date and hopes to one day finish a full marathon. Claire doesn’t follow AFL but loves getting to NRL games to support her beloved Melbourne Storm. Claire is also an avid reader and is always looking for suggestions for her next book. Her favourite places in the world are Fiji and Canada, but she also loves spending weekends visiting places closer to home with her husband Scott and their dog Tilly.
