Pilates Essentials for Physiotherapists
Neuromuscular Dry Needling Level 1 & 2
Hugh completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Research Honours) at Monash University in 2019 before joining the team at Lifecare Frankston in 2020. After playing soccer competitively from a young age, Hugh has always been interested in the role exercise has for injury prevention and improving performance.
Whilst completing year 12, Hugh ruptured his ACL during a soccer game and was referred to a highly respected physiotherapist in Melbourne. During his rehab, Hugh steadily improved the strength in his knee and was able to play the following season. From this experience, he gained an appreciation for the physiotherapy profession and the role it has in sport and everyday life.
Hugh worked at Mount Eliza FNC as a sports trainer for 3 years whilst completing his university degree, receiving mentoring from a number of physiotherapists along the way. After graduating, he moved to Frankston Bombers FNC and now is the physiotherapist of the men’s senior and reserve teams.
As a physiotherapist Hugh strongly believes in incorporating the most up-to-date evidence to help patient’s reach their goals. This is achieved through a combination of exercise, education, strategies for self-management and manual therapy techniques.
When Hugh moved down to the Mornington Peninsula, he continued to play soccer for a number of years. These days he enjoys his time off surfing, playing golf, going to the gym and spending time with mates.
