What are over 60s exercise classes?
Our over 60s classes focus on strength, balance, posture and mobility—and enjoying the company of others.
Physiotherapists run each class in a fully-equipped studio with machines and Pilates equipment, so there is no need to get on and off of the floor.
What can I expect from these classes?
Our classes are individualised exercise programs that are developed by a physiotherapist to best support your health goals and requirements. We start with a comprehensive assessment to screen your medical history, strengths, areas for improvement, and goals. After this assessment you are welcome to join as many classes as you like.
Is a referral required?
No referral is required to see a physio for an initial assessment or to attend our over 60s classes.
Can I claim this service on extras on my health insurance?
Attending an initial assessment with a physio could allow you to claim private health insurance rebates on your subsequent over 60s classes.
The initial assessment will help your physio to take some baseline objective measures, consider your specific goals, and tailor your program. To ensure you are achieving your fitness goal we recommend a reassessment every ten classes or every two months.
