Having achieved her Bachelors Degree in Sports Science, Exercise and Health, Prue completed her Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at Curtin University. She spent a year working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy both in Perth and outback NSW. During this time Prue developed a keen interest in functional rehabilitation, falls and injury prevention in the elderly, leading her to join the HomeCare team in 2015. She now leads our HomeCare Physiotherapy team in Melbourne, managing the Victorian based team that service the metropolitan area and treating in the South Eastern Suburbs herself.
Prue is a member of the APA and has completed the APA Level 1 and Level 2 Gerontology courses and plans to continue pursuing her interests in functional rehabilitation, falls prevention and women’s health physiotherapy. She has also gained experience with a range of neurological presentations including Stroke rehabilitation, Cerebral palsy, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
Prue enjoys treating a variety of conditions and has a passion for home rehabilitation and the benefit of environment specific rehabilitation, recognising the importance of using the home, community and daily tasks to improve function, making life easier for her clients.
