Bio

Dr Cardoso is a Sports and Exercise Physician accredited by the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians.  She currently serves as the team doctor for the Young Matildas (National women’s under – 20 football team).

She previously served the Opals (Australian Women’s Basketball team) as the team doctor and was the Collingwood AFLW team doctor for the 2018 season.

Tanusha has toured with the Young Matildas, the Opals, the Pararoos and the Joeys. She enjoys the diversity that the field offers and has worked across a multitude of sports, both in terms of consulting and event coverage including the Commonwealth, Arafura and Masters Games. Her research areas include MTSS, iron supplementation, tendinopathy and AFL injuries.

Her past team commitments include the role of team doctor for the Calder Cannons Football Club, the Melbourne Storm Under-20s Rugby League Team and the Rumbalara Football Netball Club. And she previously worked at the Australian Institute of Sport and Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre and Ballarat Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

She offers her consulting services to the Australian Defence Force, Workcover and TAC.
