Lewis’ passion for his profession lies in the area of sports Podiatry. He completed his Bachelor of Podiatry at Latrobe University in 2010 and he has undertaken additional training in sports massage, dry needling and injection therapy. Lewis is also a qualified personal trainer.
Lewis enjoys treating complex lower limb and foot issues as well as other foot pathologies including skin and nail conditions. Outside of Lifecare Lewis works as an orthotic technical advisor for an orthotic laboratory and is the first and only podiatrist working for the Royal Children’s Hospital. He is dedicated to professional development and is currently working on a study monitoring if listening to music when you run affects the way you run. Lewis is committed to improving his client’s discomfort, their quality of life and ensuring their quickest possible return to sport.
Lewis’ interest in sports podiatry stems from his love of all sports. He has completed a marathon as well as playing AFL, Cricket, Tennis, Touch football and Hockey. He has worked with a wide variety of athletes including AFL, VFL, AIS and VIS payers across different sports.
