Physiotherapist / Pilates
A combined interest in science and sport led Chantal to study physiotherapy. She completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire, UK in 2008.
Following graduation she initially worked within neurological rehabilitation with a wide range of spinal cord and brain injury cases before completing her core rotations within the UK’s National Health Service. This broad range of experience gave Chantal an invaluable base from which to build including trauma and elective orthopaedics, hydrotherapy, amputees, general rehabilitation and falls prevention.
Chantal has since concentrated on neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy and worked in both the public and private sector in the UK and Australia. During this time she has completed a number of postgraduate courses including in order to stay up to date and abreast of all the current research and treatment approaches.
Chantal’s key physiotherapy interests lie within exercise rehabilitation, Pilates, knee pain, hip pain and lower back pain. She also teaches fellow Physiotherapists to become Pilates Instructors through Unite Health and the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) Pilates courses.
Following 6 months travelling around South America and New Zealand she decided to relocate to Sydney in June 2014 to further her career in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy. Following a few years working at a private practise in Sydney’s CBD she joined Neutral Bay Physiotherapy in April 2018.
In her spare time Chantal enjoys triathlons, Pilates and swimming. Back in the UK she also played tennis and netball socially and has previously competed in a wide range of horse riding disciplines.
Chantal has been published in the Journal of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, Spring Edition 2014.
