APA Titled Continence and Women's Health Physiotherapist
Laura graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She has since worked in both the public and private settings, primarily fostering her skills in Continence and Women’s Health in the public setting at the Royal Hospital for Women.
She was granted scholarships through the Continence Foundation of Australia to attend the National Conference on Continence and to complete a Graduate Certificate in Continence Promotion and Management. In addition, Laura has completed several professional development courses through the Australian Physiotherapy Association and external providers in Continence and Women’s Health. She is now completing her Master’s in Clinical Physiotherapy Majoring in Continence and Women’s Health through Curtin University in Perth, which is currently the only university offering a Master’s in this field of physiotherapy in Australia.
Laura’s passion for Continence and Pelvic Floor physiotherapy is clearly highlighted by her commitment to professional development in this area and seeking out opportunities to work in this area. Consequently, Laura has also worked on the Central Coast, Maitland and Hunter Valley. Given her love of learning she is eager to share her skills with other physiotherapists in this area and for this reason dedicates her time as the Chair of the NSW Australian Physiotherapy Association Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Committee. Laura enjoys sharing her passion and clinical skills with her patients to ensure the best results possible in improving their symptoms and the impact it has on their lives.
